Chelsea are likely to test Brentford’s resolve and make a move to sign striker Ivan Toney in the January transfer window, claims ESPN.
The Blues are struggling due to a lack of goals right now and are plotting to sign a new striker in the summer.
However, they might face competition from Arsenal – who are also planning to sign Toney.
The Englishman, who will be allowed to play after his ban ends on January 16, is reportedly eyeing a move to a major club next year.
He has recently changed his agents to help him take a step forward in his career in 2024.
Brentford could demand anything in the range of £60m-£80m to sell their star striker – who is yet to play a game this season.
Toney was one of the Premier League’s best strikers last season before getting banned for breaching gambling rules, having scored 20 goals in 33 games.
