Barcelona are interested in Thiago Alcantara again after Gavi injury according to Jordi Gil of Sport.
Even before Gavi injury Barca wanted to bring it back once with the idea of signing a midfielder in the winter market especially a boost. Gavi injury puts Barca into the transfer market.
Thiago began his career at Barca La Masia Academy before moving to Bayern Munich in 2013 for 25 million. The Spaniard is noted for his technical ability and his excellent passing. But the injury has been a major threat to his career so far.
Alcantara struggle with injury is why he has not played for Liverpool this season although he is expected to make a full recovery in December.
Barcelona spotted a marketing opportunity in their alumni who could be named as a free agent in June 2024. However Liverpool are said to be letting him go free in January if he chooses to leave.
Barcelona start the operation by looking at the available Eredivisie midfielder.
