Atletico Madrid could make it clear to Barcelona how to take Joao Felix permanently.
Atleti have loaned Antoine Griezmann from Barca for two years in 2021 with the option to sign him permanently if he plays a certain number of minutes. He eventually did and Atletio paid just 20 million to sign him permanently.
Sources from Fernando Polo say that Barca will now use the same Griezmann formula to take Felix.
The Blaugrana will offer Atletico 30-40 million for their players but if they refuse they will push the striker on a one-year loan deal. That would see it take two years for Felix to loan out Barca.
The loan deal is likely to come with a 30 million buyout option at the end of the 2024/25 season. However Barca will get players at a reasonable price.
Barcelona paid 120 million to sign Griezmann and eventually sold him for 20 million after borrowing him for the same two years he was signed.
It could be the same case for Atletico with Felix. They signed him for 127 million and could lose him for 30 million to Barca after a two year loan spell.
