Ugochukwu injury could affect Chelsea transfer

Lesley Ugochukwu is unlikely to feature until mid February according to the Evening Standard.

The Frenchman suffered a hamstring injury in November and recovered with the Wolves on December 24.

Ugochukwu injury means a potential loan move for Andrey Santos is now under threat and difficult. The Brazilian was called off from his Nottingham Forest loan earlier this month with the prospect of joining another club where he will have more playing time.

Following Ugochukwu injury Chelsea are contemplating keeping Santos at the club as they worry about a lack of midfield.

Crystal Palace and some Championship clubs are interested in signing the Brazilian on loan but both he and the club are taking time to make a final decision.
