According to Mike Keegan of the Daily Mail Jose Mourinho is interested in a return to Manchester United if the managerial position is vacant.

Erik ten Hag endured a catastrophic second season at Man United leaving the Champions League and League Cup.

The Red Devils have reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup but are ninth in the Premier League 16 points ahead of Liverpool.

Although INEOS has not shown any intention of sacking Ten Hag his future will still be decided based on the results until the end of the season.

Mourinho is now free after AS Roma ended his contract after losing 3-1 to AC Milan.

Keegan understands Mourinho feels he has an unfinished business at Man United and is looking to return to Old Trafford.

Mourinho led United to the Europa League title in 2017 but was sacked the following year.
